"Good literature substitutes for experience which we have not ourselves lived through"
In this quote, I believe that it is trying to explain that we will never experience or learn as much in the real world like you could in a book. You could travel to places in a book that people could not even imagine of traveling to. You could go to another universe or just made up towns and cities. It's like your own personal fairy tale or something. People can become even smarter by reading books and books can help them later on in life. It's like your own personal escape.
In the book A Wrinkle in Time i believe it relates to this quote because Meg, Charles, and Calvin tesser to another dimension. In which humans could not go. It relates because they go to all kinds of new dimensions. Meg and her friends go to save her father from the darkness on the planet Camazotz. The book is so alike because it all goes together.

In the book A Wrinkle in Time, it's about a girl and her brother. The girls name is Meg and her little brother Charles Wallace. Charles and Meg were the different ones in in the family, Charles was very young and had a very odd personality. He had a very high IQ level and Meg had a very low one unless she really tried. Well Meg and her family were upset about the fact that there father has left for work. He has been gone for two years and had stopped writing to his wife. She and all four of her kids have been worried about him because he hasnt called or anything. Meg and Charles Wallace set off to go find there father. They ended up meeting Calvin when he was walking tawards Miss Whatsits house. They ended up going into a whole new dimension and saw what they had to fight that was trying to take there fathers life.
What book did you choose, and why did you choose it.?
I chose the book A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'engle because it looked interesting and i was told it was a good book. So i decided to try and read it, and so far the book is really good. I believe it was a good choice.
What about this book do you think will challenge you?
How will you deal with that challenge? In this book the part that i think will challenge me the most is the fact that it confuses me at times. And the fact that it starts to just not make sence to me at all. I will deal with this challenge by finding a way to understand it and get around the confusing parts.
